Best thing since sliced bread
My week isn’t complete unless I have listened to the latest podcast! You’re doing a fantastic job in shaping the future of our planet♻️. Keep up the amazing research and transferring the knowledge to your eager audience! 🎤
Not rubbish at all
Straight talking, lots of laughter and a super niche topic. Welcome to a world you may never have considered… recycling. Bin dive right in!
Everything you ever wanted to know…
My heartbeat increases every time I try to work out what I can / can’t recycle…the fear of contamination looms large! So, I’m delighted I can go to this podcast and find out, for example, if train tickets are recyclable (spoiler alert: they’re not).
Fun and informative!
Really enjoy this podcast, it helps navigate the perils of everyday recycling in a fun and non-judgmental way. They have interesting guests and provide lots more ‘behind the scenes’ information which also turns out to be quite interesting!
Real Rubbish Talk
I love the fact that I deal with these issues in my day to day role which can sometimes lead us down many rabbit holes. James & Robbie have the true skill to put this important topic in a way that we all understand as consumers. I also love the fact that there are no filters and all topics are covered even mentioning brands too!
Call yourself a sustainability expert?
If you are then you probably need to listen to this to understand the processs and facts behind packaging and rubbish. It’s so refreshing to understand the facts behind the opinions with a balanced view on what sustainability means. Happy bin day!
Recycling is fun
Great show, makes recycling easy to understand - and entertaining!

An absolute gem!
I’ve been listening to this over the last few months now and I have to say that it is excellent. Very natural, entertaining, engaging and interesting. I would highly recommend. Great chemistry between hosts James and Robbie. Both clearly know their stuff and share some really fascinating insights. 6 out of 5 from me!
Digital Watermarking
Thanks for a very comprehensive analysis of digital watermarking guys. It’s a subject I have followed closely since its inception and its original use in security document authentication. Its application in packaging recycling is a major achievement and I look forward to learning more in your future pods about this subject and how it’s applied in DRS.
Recycling better
Who knew this stuff was so complicated? James and Robbie make recycling fascinating and fun! Can’t wait for the ‘black plastic’ episode!
Far from rubbish
Love this weekly podcast as it’s really informative in a fun way and I’ve learned loads. James is an excellent host with a great sense of humour and although Robbie brings some great knowledge (without doing much research!), his constant giggling can get a bit annoying.
Totally not rubbish!
A truly engaging listen! So many ‘I didn’t realise that’ moments. A great, engaging listen that shines the light on recycling in an interesting and accessible way!
Not just for waste geeks (but even we can learn something)
A light hearted and accessible podcast, that gives details on processes and innovations, yet also provides answers to the small niggling questions and queries.
Not rubbish
I look forward to this podcast every week. An entertaining look at the world of rubbish with lots of tips and advice about getting around the world of recycling. I work for a packaging company so am particularly interested in a lot of the topics even if not all of it is relevant to me since I live in Germany.
It will surprise and inform you by turns.
Loads of ‘makes you think moments’ and insight into unintended consequences - the carrier bag ban increasing plastic usage! Who knew.
Funny and Informative
I love this show. The guys are funny and don’t take themselves as seriously as they take recycling. They’re not really judgemental of people who aren’t perfect. I can’t do everything I should but I’m trying to do more slowly and this gives me great tips and hints on how I can improve what I’m doing without totally changing my lifestyle.
Interesting as well as informative
Rubbish and recycling sounds rather worthy but it’s a jolly, encouraging and massively informative listen, from two proper experts. Brilliant, well done James and Robbie.
Top of the hierarchy
Informative, useful, entertaining. Packed full of insights and practical tips. The perfect balance of nerdiness and humour.
Informative
Love this podcast I love anything to do with recycling , making the world a better place and what we’re going to the planet. Always gives me ideas to help more
Interesting funny and thought provoking
This is a great listen and also helpful for suggestions about managing our waste/recycling but for me is also very thought provoking
Great insights and fun to listen to
This is easy listening and informative if you want to understand more about what you can recycle and how the recycling process works.
Excellent podcast
This podcast is both entertaining and educational. Also, the guys are very honest - even about their lapses . I thoroughly recommend it if you have any interest in recycling or rubbish
Definitely not rubbish
This podcast has resolved 90% of our domestic conflicts, including a long running flexible plastics controversy and the great receipt dispute of summer 2024. Highly recommend!
